Thirty employees from Outsourcing S.A.S BIC, from diverse areas such as Cardif, Famisanar, Processes, Quality, Human Resources, and Digital Transformation, gathered for a workshop sponsored by CAFAM to experience a transformative experience: the Generative AI for Innovation workshop.
The event was led by Diana Rojas Torres, a university professor and expert in innovation processes, who provided a close and in-depth insight into agile methodologies, creative tools, and strategic reflections.
During the day, we explored the fundamentals of innovation and how to apply generative AI in real-world cycles. We learned to identify problem types (complex, complicated, predictable, or chaotic) and recognize the most effective practices in each context: from the best to the emerging and innovative.
We used the Design Thinking methodology, which allowed us to discover, define, develop, and deliver solutions with a human focus. Through the famous “W” (what, who, when, where, and why), we delved into the need behind each challenge. Then, we built empathy maps to understand what the affected area says, thinks, feels, and does, as if we were creating an internal buyer persona.
We also learned to use strategic prompts for AI and gain key insights that guided us toward relevant solutions. In the “boom ideas” space, we moved from earthbound (achievable) ideas to spacebound (disruptive) ideas, ultimately landing in the sky: innovative, viable, and desirable proposals.
The event concluded with a three-minute pitch, where each team presented their solution with a hook, problem, benefits, and call to action. We also built a visual representation of the proposed service using LEGO, evaluating whether it was useful, innovative, trendy, or truly transformative.
This experience led to initiatives such as smart negotiation platforms, training and development solutions, and proposals that are already inspiring new conversations. More than a workshop, it was an invitation to think differently, to connect with purpose, and to design the future through collaboration.
